Your Responsibilities as a Sales Controller:
- Assisting the sales team in achieving vehicle, finance, insurance, and accessory sales targets.
- Supporting deal negotiations and helping to close sales opportunities.
- Ensuring all sales processes and FCA compliance standards are followed correctly.
- Monitoring customer enquiries and ensuring a high standard of customer experience throughout the sales journey.
- Maintaining strong product knowledge across the vehicle range and associated products.
- Building rapport with customers, understanding their requirements, and helping identify the most suitable vehicle solutions.
- Working closely with Aftersales and other departments to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Assisting with vehicle stock management, display standards, and sales administration where required.
What we are looking for in a Sales Controller:
- Previous experience within a motor trade sales environment, ideally in a senior Sales Executive or Sales Controller role is essential.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting a sales team in achieving targets and delivering excellent customer experiences.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to maximise sales opportunities and profitability.
- Confident in managing multiple priorities and working under pressure.
- Proactive with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A team player who supports and motivates colleagues.
- Willingness to learn and stay up to date with product, manufacturer, finance, and FCA compliance requirements.
