Bentley's Garage in Exmouth is seeking a permanent Car Mechanic/Technician to join our team in Exmouth. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and good team working skills and is looking to become an essential component to the business. The role involves working on a variety of cars 3-5 years old carrying out regular maintenance and repairs. You will need to have your own hand tools and be dedicated to giving the best customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections using a digital VHC system and technical manuals
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components, Hybrid systems
  • Utilise specialised equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts
  • Interpret information from customers to identify faults accurately
  • MOT licence would be advantageous
  • Maintain digital records of work performed
  • Assist with assembly and installation of vehicle components during repairs
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing customer concerns effectively

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Car Mechanic or Technician with a solid understanding of automotive systems
  • Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by practical skills in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Experience in vehicle assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and equipment repair
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics is desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent are preferred but not essential
