LOCATION: Commutable from Hull, Beverley, Grimsby, Lincoln, Doncaster, Selby, York, Scarborough, Driffield, Bridlington. The clients' offices are in East Yorkshire, so you will meet there on a Monday morning before heading off to site. They work across the UK.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: This is a permanent role paying £17/18 ph. Overtime is available, so the salary is expected to be approximately £38k - £46,500. A van is also provided along with paid holidays and pension.

THE ROLE: Our client is recruiting an experienced Commercial Roofer with a strong background in commercial and industrial roofing, combined with hands-on experience installing rooftop Solar PV systems. This role will involve travel within the UK but only Mon to Fri, so no weekend working. All expenses are covered.

The successful candidate will support their growing Commercial Solar PV and O&M divisions by providing specialist roofing expertise, carrying out roof surveys, supporting project delivery, overseeing installation quality, and ensuring all rooftop works are completed safely and in accordance with roofing best practices and manufacturer requirements. This role would suit a qualified Commercial Roofer who has transitioned into Solar PV, rather than a Solar PV installer with limited roofing experience.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Extensive experience working on commercial roofing systems, including metal sheet, composite panel, and flat roof installations.
  • Proven experience installing Solar PV systems on commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Relevant roofing qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 preferred).
  • Valid CSCS Skilled Worker card.
  • Working at Height experience and a strong understanding of safe systems of work.
  • Good knowledge of roof waterproofing, fixing methods, roof integrity, and maintaining manufacturer warranties.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

It would be desirable if candidates also had:

  • IPAF and/or PASMA.
  • Experience with surveys and roof condition assessments.
