LOCATION: Commutable from Beverley, Hull, Driffield, Bridlington, Selby, Goole, Doncaster, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, York

SALARY AND BENEFITS: £45-50k + vehicle. Applicants that wish to work on a freelance basis are also welcome to apply.

THE ROLE:

Our client is an established and successful business delivering high-quality industrial insulation and pipework services. They are primarily an insulation company; however, they have recently expanded their pipework division. As Contracts Manager, you will take full ownership of projects from tender through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations. You will manage relationships with clients, oversee project delivery teams, and play a central role in driving the growth of our insulation and pipework divisions. The role is based at the Hull office, which has its own dedicated workshop for both sides of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects of projects, from planning to completion.
  • Lead and support site teams, ensuring safe and efficient working practices.
  • Pursue new business opportunities and generate leads for the business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect work quality, safety compliance, and team performance.
  • Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, and other project documentation.
  • Resolve on-site issues promptly to minimize delays and maintain productivity.
  • Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Responsibility for creating and maintaining effective client contracts.
  • Overseeing and handling contract negotiations.
  • Working with the general manager in tendering for new works or partnerships.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Proven experience in industrial insulation, pipework or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of contract language and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel as required (expenses covered).
  • Comfortable with using and producing office-based spreadsheet/documents.
