SALARY AND BENEFITS: £26K - 40K Dependant on experience. Pension and Life Insurance.

THE ROLE: Due to a successful long term contract award, our client is looking to appoint at least two Stock Condition Surveyors to carry out surveys on housing stock in the York area. They are keen to offer the opportunity on a permanent basis and for the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to carry out other Building Surveying work. Stock condition surveys are crucial for maintaining housing stock, ensuring compliance with regulations like the Decent Home Standard, and aiding in long-term planning and financial budgeting for property maintenance. These surveys assess the condition of homes, identify potential issues including Health and Safety, and help the social housing provider plan future repairs and improvements. Applications are welcome from candidates who have a Degree in Building Surveying and are at the beginning of their career and would like to broaden their experience. The role is Mon - Fri - 37.5 hours per week.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Experience of carrying out stock condition survey work
  • Good communication skills
  • Reasonable level of computer literacy to complete the surveys using a tablet
  • Own vehicle - mileage paid

Additional experience of carrying out other Building Surveying duties would be beneficial.
