This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Architectural professional to join our Consultancy client as an Architectural Design Manager. They have multiple offices across the Yorkshire region, so some travel between offices will be required as the Architectural staff under your supervision/management will be based in different locations.
My client offers a great working environment with opportunities for advancement. They work core hours of 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility available.
The successful Architectural Design Manager will be responsible for leading a team of 7 Architectural staff, ensuring that high levels of quality in terms of design are maintained and design deadlines achieved.
DUTIES:- Supervision, coordination and planning of Architectural resources and liaison with the Directors in relation to architectural work
- Oversee, mentor and guide members of the architectural team
- Maintain accurate records of work in progress, planning and targets
- Report weekly to Directors
- Review and QA check architectural work prior to issue
- Carry out measured surveys and prepare as existing drawings
- Design new build, alterations and extensions to existing buildings of all types
- Prepare architectural working drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Significant previous experience working in the Architectural Design Sector
- Previous experience supervising/managing Architectural Design staff
- An eye for detail and a desire to maintain high standards
- First class communication skills that mean you can communicate with the architectural team, Directors and clients
- A driving licence with your own transport
