SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER POSITION : Senior Structural Engineer LOCATION : Commutable from Doncaster , Selby , Grimsby , Lincoln , Beverley , Hull , Driffield, Scunthorpe, York SALARY AND BENEFITS : Competitive salary and benefits to include pension and death in service THE ROLE : This is a great opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join an established and well respected consultancy. They cover a wide range of sectors and you will have the opportunity to highlight your structural expertise on some exciting projects.
As a Structural Engineer you will lead structural design activities, mentor Junior Engineers , manage project delivery and maintain strong client relationships They offer great career progression as the consultancy grows. You will benefit from ongoing professional development and support to chartership where applicable RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the structural design and analysis of projects across a variety of sectors. Produce and review engineering calculations, specifications, technical reports, and detailed design drawings.
Ensure designs comply with relevant UK Standards, Eurocodes, client requirements, and industry best practices. Undertake independent checking and approval of calculations and design work completed by other engineers. Manage project deliverables, programmes, and resources. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to graduate and junior engineers. Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Attend site visits, surveys, inspections, and meetings as required.
Support business development activities and contribute to the continued growth of the company. YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING : A Degree (BEng/MEng) in Structural Engineering. A minimum of 7 years' post-graduate structural design experience. Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or be working towards chartership. Proven experience delivering structural engineering projects within industrial, infrastructure, energy, Residential, Education, Healthcare, or related sectors.
Strong knowledge of UK design standards, Eurocodes, and relevant industry regulations. Experience using structural analysis and design software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships. The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities.
