Estimator/Commercial Assistant in Hull

POSITION : Estimator / Commercial Assistant

LOCATION : Hull

SALARY AND BENEFITS : £40-50k dependant on experience + bonus. Company vehicle and fuel provided or Car Allowance of £5k

THE ROLE : This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator / Commercial Assistant to join this established and successful Scaffolding business. Candidates must have previous experience of working on Scaffolding projects as an Estimator / QS / Commercial Assistant , either working for a main contractor or indeed with a specialist scaffold business.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for various scaffolding projects, including labour, materials, equipment, and overheads.
• Analyse building drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
• Good time management with a split between site and office work
• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for estimates.
• Monitor project costs throughout the process to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and regulations that may impact project costs.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING :

• Proven experience of dealing with the public and also commercial clients
• Knowledge of scaffolding methods, work practices and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Good computer skills including Google Docs and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
