SALARY AND BENEFITS: Up to £65k + bonus + car (inc fuel card) or car allowance + healthcare
THE ROLE: This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Controls Project Engineer to join this successful Engineering business. You will be working on a range of projects, primarily in machine applications. You will be responsible for entire system controls and electrical design either directly or through the management of subcontract designers. You will take responsibility for the writing of the software, again either directly or through the use of subcontractors, the procurement of panels, installation on site and final commissioning.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Strong technical knowledge of complex electrical systems, PLCs, Drives, Control Systems, SCADA in an industrial environment.
- Demonstrable experience within Siemens PLC / HMI / SCADA programming (TIA Portal) including integrated safety and networking.
- Working knowledge of functional safety, ideally supported by a formal competency.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member within a multidisciplinary team liaising directly with team members and clients.
- Good all-round technical design knowledge using British and International standards.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own time and workload to deliver against agreed milestones.
- Good verbal and written communication and technical writing skills.
- Understanding of the importance of prioritising health, safety, and environmental issues.
