LOCATION: Commutable from York, Selby, Harrogate, Doncaster, Hull, Beverley, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Leeds, Sheffield, Rotherham.

THE ROLE: This is a great opportunity for a Land and Measured Building Surveyor with a minimum of 3 years experience to join our client who are a successful multi-discipline consultancy. They offer a 37.5 hour week - Mon to Fri. As a Surveyor working for our client you will generally be working at site or office locations in the Yorkshire/Lincolnshire area so a home base in that area would be ideal. Occasional travel away may be required but this is not expected to be very often. As a Land and Measured Building Surveyor you will manage, coordinate and deliver a wide range of survey projects to tight deadlines. You will be expected to be "hands on" and have experience in executing large scale measured building and land surveys using both traditional survey techniques and 3D laser scanners.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: £35k, Pension, Life Insurance. A vehicle will be provided after a qualifying period. Business miles paid for the use of your own vehicle.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Previous experience of working as a Land and Measured Building Surveyor
  • In depth knowledge and experience of working with modern survey instruments, including total stations, GPS and 3D laser scanners
  • A driving licence and access to your own vehicle

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • To take enquiries from colleagues and external sources, assess requirements and prepare fee quotations and scope of surveys.
  • To carry out measured surveys of buildings and prepare drawings of varying levels of detail. Survey methods to include distometer and 3D laser scanning.
  • To carry out topographical surveys and provide detailed plans.
  • To carry out setting out and boundary surveys under the direction of Building Surveyors.
  • Maintain records and reports/liaison with the Director/Associate Director to provide updates on status of fees and assisting in prioritisation of work.
