  • POSITION : Maintenance Operative

THE ROLE : The role for a Maintenance Operative with our client is for a 3 month period. The standard working week is Mon - Fri - 40 hours , some overtime may be available

DUTIES

  • Planned maintenance of operational machinery (PPM's).
  • Upkeep of critical spares stocks.
  • When required take part in engineering projects and commission new equipment.
  • Upkeep of planned maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with external contractors where required (electricians, plumbers etc).
  • Maintenance procedures and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Plant logs up to date and maintained.
  • Assist in preparing site when required for external and regulatory audits.
  • Support and maintain site equipment.
  • General site maintenance.
  • Ensure H&S compliance is maintained at all times and is the No 1 priority.
  • Ensure H&S risks are escalated at once.
  • Any unsafe practices are to be identified, managed and reported utilising business H&S management systems. (Risk Alerts, Near Miss etc.).

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING

  • H&S/Food safety systems and legislation. Including Machinery Guarding (IOSH).
  • A good level of computer skills in Word, Excel, etc. is required.
  • Basic Building and Facility maintenance.
  • Willingness to learn engineering tasks.
