Stertil UK Ltd, a trusted market leader in loading bay equipment, dock levellers, scissor lifts and industrial doors, is seeking an experienced and motivated Field Installation Manager based in the North of the UK to oversee installation projects. About the Role
As our Field Installation Manager, you will take ownership of all field installation activities for general contractors, construction partners, and end‑user clients. You will manage multiple installation teams, ensure safe and efficient project delivery, and be a key representative of Stertil UK on-site. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring installations are completed on time, to specification, and to Stertil’s renowned quality standards across major new‑build developments, refurbishment sites, and operational customer facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support field installation subcontractors delivering dock equipment and industrial door installations
- Plan and assist with the scheduling of labour, materials, and equipment for multiple active project sites
- Liaise directly with Stertil’s installation manager & projects team, general contractors, site managers, and end‑user clients throughout installation phases
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure safe working practices, quality control, and installation progress
- Review and enforce RAMS, industry regulations, and company safety policies
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to field teams
- Ensure accurate documentation, project reporting, and completion sign‑off
- Drive continuous improvement in installation processes and customer satisfaction
About You
We’re looking for someone based in the north of the UK who brings:
- Experience in the dock equipment or industrial door industry
- Strong background in managing field-based teams or installation engineering teams
- Excellent knowledge of construction site practices, safety requirements, and project coordination
- Confident communicator capable of working with contractors, subcontractors, and end-users
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
