Are you looking for a new challenge and want to embark on a new journey? Then look no further! At Stern Energy we have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer in Lincolnshire. This position has come at an exciting time for our fast-growing company.
The right candidate shall have experience in the electrical installation and maintenance of industrial sites and specific knowledge of DC electrical systems. You will have previous experience or technical knowledge of photovoltaic systems and high voltage systems. Good ability and confidence on using basic electrical equipment such as multi-meters and insulation testers is required.

Main responsibilities include:
- Visual inspection activities, cleaning and reporting to management team.
- Routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables and connectors, DC and AC distribution boxes.
- Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fence and gates, inverter and transformer stations (excluding equipment).
- Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment (data logger, routers, sensors, etc.).
- Routine maintenance activities on security system devices (cameras, barriers, etc.).
- Fault finding on electrical components by means of visual inspections or professional site measurement activities (thermal imaging, insulation tester, etc.).
- Execute corrective measures to keep the system available.
- Engage and manage subcontractors.
- Perform reactive and corrective maintenance activities as well as manage subcontractors and control quality of activities performed.
- Availability to work from time to time during weekends and bank holidays.
Skills and qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in industrial or utility-scale environments.
- Proven experience or technical knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing tools.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills.

- Valid and clean car driving license.
- NVQ Level 3 electrical certification.
