What will you be doing? As a Technical Asset Manager, you will oversee the technical performance and management of a portfolio of photovoltaic (PV) plants across the UK. You’ll work proactively with O&M partners, manage contracts, monitor assets, and implement actions to enhance technical and financial performance. You will collaborate daily with international colleagues and partners, particularly from the UK, Italy, and Germany requiring strong communication and stakeholder management skills. This is a hybrid role, with travel within the UK and occasional trips across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyse PV plant performance, coordinating interventions to optimise production and profitability.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports, including analysis of deviations from forecasts.
- Manage O&M contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Review and assess technical upgrade proposals or modifications.
- Manage warranty and insurance claims for key plant components.
- Administer guarantee contracts for major equipment on behalf of project companies.
- Conduct regular on-site inspections of PV plants.
- Tackle complex technical challenges with a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 1–3 years’ professional experience in technical project management of PV plants, including field-based know-how.
- Strong understanding of UK technical standards and regulations in the photovoltaic sector.
- Independent, resilient, and detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Highly proficient with MS Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe.
Desirable:
- Technical knowledge or experience with wind technology.
