At Stern Energy we have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer in Aberdeen, Scotland. The right candidate shall have experience in the electrical installation and maintenance of industrial sites and specific knowledge of DC electrical systems. Good ability and confidence in using basic electrical equipment such as multimeters and insulation testers is required.

- Visual inspection activities, cleaning and reporting to the management team.
- Routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables and connectors, and DC and AC distribution boxes.
- Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fences and gates, and inverter and transformer stations (excluding equipment).
- Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment (data loggers, routers, sensors, etc.).
- Routine maintenance activities on security system devices (cameras, barriers, etc.).
- Fault finding on electrical components by means of visual inspections or professional site measurement activities (thermal imaging, insulation tester, etc.).
- Engage and manage subcontractors.
- Perform reactive and corrective maintenance activities as well as manage subcontractors and control the quality of activities performed.
The site technician shall give availability for working from time to time during weekends and bank holidays.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in industrial or utility-scale environments.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing tools.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid and clean car driving licence.
- NVQ Level 3 electrical certification.
