Sterlington PLLC is a full-service law firm focusing on complex corporate, litigation, executive compensation, and private wealth matters. As a firm, we focus on the economic as well as the legal aspects of our matters.

This is a hands‑on financial modeling role supporting live transactions. You'll work directly with Sterlington's M&A, Executive Compensation, and Private Wealth partners while deals are in progress. The work is detailed and execution‑focused. You'll be building and adjusting models yourself, reviewing deal economics, and helping partners understand how different structures affect value, incentives, and outcomes. This role suits someone with around five years of transactional experience who enjoys working through the numbers and being close to the action.

What You'll Do

  • Build, update, and review financial models related to active transactions
  • Analyze deal structures, management equity, rollover scenarios, and incentive arrangements
  • Check assumptions, run scenarios, and flag where economics meaningfully change
  • Work closely with partners on live matters, often under tight timelines
  • Provide clear, practical input that helps partners think through negotiation positions
  • Track relevant market and valuation context as it applies to specific deals
  • Help improve internal models, templates, and working materials over time
  • Join selected client calls to walk through financial mechanics when helpful

What We're Looking For

  • Around 5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory
  • Strong, practical understanding of M&A transactions and deal economics
  • Comfortable analyzing management equity and incentive structures
  • Excellent financial modeling skills — you build the models, not just review them
  • Detail‑oriented and careful with assumptions and inputs
  • Able to explain financial concepts clearly to lawyers and senior partners
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, professional environment
  • Reliable, discreet, and thoughtful when handling sensitive information

At Sterlington, we believe that world-class talent has no boundaries. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where unique perspectives are valued and every individual has the opportunity to thrive. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
