We’re partnering with a major global financial institution that is embarking on a significant multi-year cloud transformation—and they’re seeking a visionary Head of Cloud to shape and lead this journey across EMEA.

This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of multi-cloud strategy (Azure, AWS, Oracle), build a modern product-aligned cloud function, and influence technology direction on a global scale.

As the senior leader for cloud, you’ll define the strategic roadmap, modernise engineering practices, and spearhead cloud adoption across multiple regions. You’ll be responsible for building and guiding a high-performing cloud engineering team and driving innovation that reduces legacy debt, strengthens security, and enables AI-driven capabilities.

In this role, you will:

  • Set and execute a comprehensive multi-cloud strategy
  • Lead a cloud product operating model, enabling reusable, standardised services
  • Partner with global stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and sustainable cloud solutions
  • Champion cloud adoption across the business, influencing senior leadership and driving cultural change
  • Own cloud investment planning, financial governance and key vendor partnerships
  • Build a resilient, high-performing cloud environment that meets strict regulatory and security standards
  • Lead, develop and inspire a team of cloud engineers and subject matter experts

What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience leading enterprise-level cloud engineering teams within financial services
  • Deep hands-on expertise across Azure, AWS and/or Oracle Cloud
  • Strong background in cloud architecture, IaaS/PaaS, identity solutions, automation and Infrastructure as Code
  • Proven track record delivering complex cloud transformations across multiple workstreams
  • Ability to articulate and influence cloud strategy at C-suite level
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to build, mentor and scale high-performing teams
  • Experience navigating regulatory, risk and security requirements in a complex environment

Why this role stands out: You’ll be at the forefront of a large-scale transformation, shaping a next-generation cloud ecosystem for one of the industry’s most globally recognised institutions. You’ll have the autonomy, influence and resources to make genuine impact—both technically and strategically.
