A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Cloud Technical Lead to play a key role in the growth and evolution of its enterprise cloud capability. This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity within a highly skilled cloud engineering team, where you’ll help shape and scale AWS adoption across a complex multi-cloud environment. The role combines deep AWS engineering expertise with architectural leadership, platform ownership, automation, governance, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and implementation of AWS cloud solutions
- Driving platform engineering, automation, security, and cloud best practices
- Supporting enterprise-scale AWS onboarding and landing zone initiatives
- Collaborating with application, infrastructure, and security teams
- Acting as a senior technical escalation point for AWS engineering
- Contributing to cloud governance, standards, and reusable architecture patterns
Key experience required:
- Strong hands-on AWS engineering experience within production environments
- Expertise across services including EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Strong scripting/automation capability (Python, PowerShell or similar)
- CI/CD and Git-based workflow experience
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, and governance
- Experience designing scalable, secure, resilient cloud architectures
Additional experience considered highly beneficial:
- Azure engineering exposure
- Multi-cloud environments
- Enterprise cloud governance and landing zone implementation
- Financial services or regulated environments
