A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Cloud Technical Lead to play a key role in the growth and evolution of its enterprise cloud capability. This is a hands-on technical leadership opportunity within a highly skilled cloud engineering team, where you’ll help shape and scale AWS adoption across a complex multi-cloud environment. The role combines deep AWS engineering expertise with architectural leadership, platform ownership, automation, governance, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and implementation of AWS cloud solutions
  • Driving platform engineering, automation, security, and cloud best practices
  • Supporting enterprise-scale AWS onboarding and landing zone initiatives
  • Collaborating with application, infrastructure, and security teams
  • Acting as a senior technical escalation point for AWS engineering
  • Contributing to cloud governance, standards, and reusable architecture patterns

Key experience required:

  • Strong hands-on AWS engineering experience within production environments
  • Expertise across services including EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Strong scripting/automation capability (Python, PowerShell or similar)
  • CI/CD and Git-based workflow experience
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, and governance
  • Experience designing scalable, secure, resilient cloud architectures

Additional experience considered highly beneficial:

  • Azure engineering exposure
  • Multi-cloud environments
  • Enterprise cloud governance and landing zone implementation
  • Financial services or regulated environments
