The Infrastructure Engineer will support the implementation and maintenance of private cloud solutions, working closely with the team to develop technical skills and contribute to project success. This is on a fixed term contract running until March 2027. This role involves hands-on technical work, learning, and growth opportunities.
Required Technical Skills:
- Infrastructure engineers should possess a strong aptitude and understanding of a wide breadth of information technology, products, tools, services, and solutions.
- Baseline familiarity with the technology stack outlined below:
- Virtualisation: VMware VCF, Cloud Director, Hyper-V, Tanzu, Horizon
- L2/3 Switching/Routing: Cisco, NSX-T
- Automation: Terraform, Ansible, Aria
- SIEM: Elastic, Aria Operations for Logs
- ServiceNow (Desirable)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure with at least two years focused on cloud solutions or software-defined networking.
- Must have a minimum of SC clearance, with DV security clearance desirable.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in configuring and deploying cloud infrastructure components, including VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware NSX, Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, and Horizon VDI.
- Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Support troubleshooting efforts, working under the guidance of the technical lead to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of varying technologies.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to public and private cloud computing.
