Job Description

Sterling Williams are working alongside a leading, and growing City based Investment Manager who are looking for administrative support in their Transitions Team on a 12 month (1 year) Fixed Term Contract basis with a main focus on SIPP's (Self Invested Pension Plans).

Transfers Administrator (12 month FTC)

Salary circa £35,000 - £40,000 pa plus benefits

City of London based (Hybrid Working 3 days in the office)

The main purpose of this role will be to support the processing of new SIPP transfer instructions and chasing cases with counterparties to ensure transfers complete in a timely manner. Working with the Transitions team to track and report on assets in transfer and ensure adherence to Service Level agreements, liaising with colleagues and third parties to follow up and update on progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Check and process transfer requests received from relationship management teams, liaising with third parties regarding settlement and inputting instructions into Pershing NEXUS system
  • Communicate with counterparties, fund managers and custodians to manage the smooth and timely transition of client assets (to and from)
  • Efficient tracking and reporting of assets in transfer using the Transfer Tracker system, providing clear and relevant updates to enable the client to monitor progress of the transfer
  • Monitor reports and systems to check for receipt of funds and assets.
  • Chasing and validating SIPP transfer information from third parties.
  • Process payments to clients and third parties in relation to transfers out.
  • Management of Transitions mailbox, post and telephone queries
  • Maintain relationships with third party administrators, Fund Managers and custodian

The successful candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of tax wrapper structures including ISA, SIPP, Offshore Bond
  • Knowledge of Pershing NEXUS system is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of asset transfer process including unit trust, CREST, foreign, certificated and cash movements
  • Knowledge of Electronic reregistration and Origo and Altus is an advantage
  • 1 year SIPP transfers /Administration experience
  • Studying towards the IOC certificate or already qualified would be advantageous
  • Accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Organisation and prioritisation skills to manage own workload to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) in order to deal with queries received via telephone, email and face to face, and to ensure responses and updates are both clear and relevant
