Transfers and Tax Analyst 1 year FTC London/Hybrid Salary Circa £40,000 - £45,000

Role Objectives:

  • To oversee and manage all activities associated with client transitions / asset transfers.
  • Ensure the implementation of Altus / TeX delivers the appropriate benefits and necessary coverage.
  • To work with/liaise with external parties on all matters relating to tax reporting for our clients.
  • Central point of contact for all FO or client queries relating to transitions, proactively engaging with third parties to provide timely resolution.
  • Continually review 'enhanced asset transfer' service to identify future improvements or changes that deliver efficiency or operational gains.
  • Central point of contact for all FO or client queries relating to tax reporting /CGIX.
  • Support the oversight and effective management of corporate actions.
  • To perform general oversight of the outsourced relationship.
  • Develop MI that supports the oversight of services and highlights service issues as they arise.
  • To present data to the business and create dashboards to enable the Oversight Team to manage effectively.
  • Improve processes within the Operations Oversight Team utilising IT Dev and Microsoft Products.
  • Participate in regular service review meetings with third party provider.
  • Assist and support the Operation's Oversight team as required.
  • Assist in the production and checking of periodic tax documents.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • To participate / prepare appropriate governance ensuring that individuals responsible for the oversight of Third Party policies, including regulatory updates, are able to perform their obligations.
  • Review the pending/open transitions and tax reporting activities daily.
  • Produce MI as required for any committees.
  • Undertake operational and oversight activities when required to assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the Operational Oversight Team.
  • Undertake operational and oversight activities with our external custodians.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes and the market.

Experience and Competencies Required:

  • Experience/knowledge of the UK transitions function and associated market participants.
  • Knowledge/experience of UK and US tax reporting rules/requirements.
  • Understanding of corporate action processing and market rules.
  • Operational experience (2 years+) required.
