Job Description

Business Development Manager – Trade Finance & FI’s

Sterling Williams are working alongside an International Bank based in the West End who are actively hiring for a Business Development Manager with a focus on Trade Finance & FI’s.

Salary circa £80,000 – £90,000 pa plus benefitsWest End of London based4 days in the office, with 1 day from home

• Develop and grow trade finance lines of business including discounting of trade finance instruments and risk participation with other banks.• Manage the bank’s exposures within approved limits. Sell down effectively and efficiently any transactions required to keep exposures within limits, while maximising pricing. • Manage the process with the oil LC, including liaising with potential confirming banks in an efficient and timely manner, while maximising pricing. • Identify new business opportunities in line with the approved risk appetite, risk profile of the Bank’s strategy and to market the Bank’s services appropriately. In respect of achievable business opportunities to seek and recommend all relevant risk limits required to undertake the proposed business. • Use the list of authorised limits, both for countries and financial institutions, in the development of marketing plans and bring about increased utilisation of limits where possible. • Identify new market counterparties to participate in transactions. • Identify alternative and new funding USD solutions.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years Trade Finance and FI business development and relationship management, preferably in the Middle East.

• Asset distribution experience preferable.• Relevant degree or equivalent.
