We're currently supporting a fantastic business in the property maintenance industry to hire a new Quantity Surveyor for their growing team. This Quantity Surveyor will focus on supporting the operational team delivering reactive & planned maintenance within a housing contract across Lincoln. It's key to have experience of working across the housing/residential sector and be confident commercially to drive revenue through the vast amount of work they have available.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial & Cost Management
- Assist with preparation of project budgets and cost plans
- Monitor project costs and maintain cost value reconciliation (CVR)
- Track variations, delays and additional works
- Support the preparation of monthly cost reports
- Assist in financial forecasting and profit tracking
- Review labour, plant and material costs against budget
- Estimate costs of small works projects & ensure maximum revenue potential
- Use coding within excel & other software packages to get work officially signed off through the subcontractor framework
- Measure works completed on site
- Assist with final accounts and retention release
- Maintain project documentation and change records
- Track and log variations
- Assist with contractual notices and communication
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar (or working towards)
