We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Management Accountant (part-qualified or qualified) to support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information. This is a hands-on role covering core management accounting, balance sheet control, budgeting, and support with month-end and statutory reporting. The role would suit someone who enjoys ownership, has strong technical fundamentals, and wants exposure to full accounts packs and commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Management Accounts & Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and full accounts packs
- Analyse trial balances, investigating and resolving variances
- Provide clear commentary on financial performance to support decision-making
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of differences
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet control accounts
- Own and maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Calculate and post depreciation, including HP (hire purchase) depreciation
- Ensure correct accounting treatment of leased and HP assets
- Reconcile fixed assets to the general ledger
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Monitor actuals vs budget and produce variance analysis
- Contribute to process improvements and stronger financial controls
- Support ad-hoc analysis and projects as required
