Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the finance department.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
  • Lead month-end and year-end processes.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial projections.
  • Monitor cashflow, working capital and overall financial performance.
  • Analyse financial results and provide recommendations to support business objectives.
  • Oversee reconciliations, VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure robust financial controls, compliance and financial governance.
  • Support senior management with financial planning, reporting and decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant.
  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge.
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team desirable.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
