We’re currently supporting a fantastic business in the search for an Assistant Estimator to join their growing team, working for a well-established main contractor with a strong reputation across the Midlands construction market. The business continues to secure a strong pipeline of work across multiple sectors and due to continued growth, they are now looking to strengthen their Pre-Construction team with the addition of an Assistant Estimator. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Support quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models
- Gather and analyse data relating to labour, materials, and equipment costs
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
- Help maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Design teams throughout the pre-construction process
- Attend site visits and internal meetings where required
- Prepare reports and cost summaries for senior management
- Support value engineering and risk assessment exercises
