The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team. This role is responsible for managing, organising and maintaining project documentation to ensure information is accurate, accessible and controlled throughout the lifecycle of projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project teams by ensuring documentation is issued, tracked and stored in accordance with company procedures and project requirements. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent administrative skills and the ability to work within a fast-paced technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the document control system for projects and company documentation
- Ensure all documentation is correctly filed, version controlled and easily accessible
- Distribute drawings, specifications and technical documents to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Track document revisions and ensure the latest versions are always in circulation
- Liaise with engineers, project managers and external contractors to obtain and issue documentation
- Manage incoming and outgoing project correspondence
- Maintain document registers and ensure project records are kept up to date
- Support project teams with administrative and documentation requirements
- Assist in preparing project handover documentation and final project records
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality management systems
