Pricing Specialist – Freight & Logistics We are looking for a motivated and proactive pricing specialist to join a fast-paced, dynamic logistics provider. If you have a solid background in airfreight or ocean freight and a talent for building strong relationships with customers, carriers, and suppliers, we want to hear from you! Location: Birmingham Key Responsibilities: Receive and process customer quotations via various methods (email, online portal, etc.). Manage Airfreight operations including Imports, Exports, and Cross Trade. Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers, ensuring cost-effective solutions where no tariff exists. Prepare and submit timely customer quotations and proposals. Utilize in-house systems to create and issue quotations efficiently. Follow up with customers to gather feedback and adjust pricing to secure opportunities. Track success/failure rate of quotes and provide insights to management. Build and maintain strong customer relationships while providing top-tier service. Produce and update strategic tariffs as needed. Monitor carrier websites and industry updates to stay current. Collaborate with airfreight operations to ensure smooth handover of shipments. Promote continuous improvement in processes. Required Skills & Experience: Strong industry and operational knowledge of airfreight or ocean freight (inbound, outbound, and cross trade). Experience negotiating and influencing profitability through effective pricing. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (preferable). Strong numerical, commercial, and communication skills. Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office Proactive, organized, and a team player with excellent time management skills.
