We are seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Surveyor (BOHS P402) to carry out surveys within domestic properties. This role involves inspecting residential properties, identifying asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), and managing the process through to safe removal, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and council requirements. You will play a key role in protecting residents, contractors, and the wider public by ensuring asbestos risks are properly identified, assessed, and controlled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys within occupied and void domestic properties
  • Identifying, sampling, and assessing asbestos-containing materials (ACMs)
  • Producing accurate, detailed survey reports in line with HSG264 guidance
  • Liaising with Council, tenants, and contractors to coordinate survey access and works
  • Managing and overseeing the safe removal of asbestos, ensuring works are completed to required standards
  • Appointing and liaising with licensed asbestos removal contractors
  • Reviewing method statements, risk assessments, and plans of work
  • Conducting site visits to monitor removal works and ensure compliance
  • Ensuring all works comply with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Providing clear communication and reassurance to residents during works
