Sterling Recruitment Services are now recruiting for a Production Coordinator to join their clients Manufacturing and Assembly operation based in Middlesbrough. Reporting to the Production Manager you will be a dynamic people-person with the ability to build collaborative relationships quickly, with great organisation and communication skills. You will manage the Production team to ensure the smooth running of all production and undertake all the required production administration activities.
Main duties:
- Completion of all relevant planning, logistics and administration activities are completed daily.
- Producing all daily production plans accurately and on time β volumes, run rates, WIP etc β and provided to Production team.
- Booking of vehicles through online portals and producing loads plans and delivery notes.
- Ensuring any materials/ Labour shortages are communicated to the wider business appropriately.
- Ensure maximum utilisation of materials within Production.
- Authorisation of transport invoices.
- Assist with determining manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
- Obtain, collate, and communicate output information (service level, staff numbers, waste, overpacks, WIP adherence etc.)
- Liaising with 3rd party haulage companies regarding collection times and traffic issues to ensure 100% service level is achieved.
- Completion of Customer Issue Log.
- Compiling weekly data to support Sales Admin.
- Maintaining records and archives to support audits.
- Attending daily Production meetings and project progression meetings.
Who we are looking for:
- Previous experience of production & logistics planning is essential.
- Knowledge of offsite manufacturing utilising Light Guage steel.
- Effective communication skills.
- Teamwork, able to work and consult with others to ensure team goals are successfully achieved.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Good numerical and literacy levels.
- Good IT and database/system skills.
Working hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am β 4:30pm, Friday, 8:00am β 3:30pm.
