Sterling Recruitment Services are looking to recruit a Design & Technical Co-ordinator for our growing client based in Middlesbrough. Expected duties include but are not limited to:
- Working with the sales team to progress early engagement, helping produce project specifications and technical reviews for projects.
- Assisting the estimating team by producing in-house technical reviews for them to produce BOQs and quotations.
- Providing support and assistance to the sales team as the technical contact point for the sales department.
- Managing the design through process:
- Initial client info
- Design freeze
- RFIs & supporting trackers
- Design trackers (these would be passed down to the design co-ordinator)
- Supporting the client design team with any questions and RFIs
- Ensuring the design & engineering teams meet programmes and company requirements
- Ensuring design & engineering teams are providing the optimum VE solutions
- O&M completion at the end of the project
- Ensuring all documents are logged and controlled (distribution & storage)
- Reviewing and updating design processes
- Managing client design systems & drawings upload e.g. Asite etc.
- Assisting estimating with tech review and take-offs/BOQ. Ensuring that the project transitions smoothly from design & engineering into manufacture
- Liaising with the site team on any design NCRs or issues on-site to provide solutions
- Feedback from site to design any improvements that can be made in the design process
Experience in a similar role within the construction industry is essential.
