Sterling Personnel are currently working alongside a well-established logistics company based in Tuxford, Nottinghamshire. The company are looking to take on multiple driver on permanent and ongoing positions. This will see you starting off through agency for 8 weeks and going straight permanent with the company after this time. Job Role: HGV Class 2 Driver Location: Tuxford, Nottinghamshire Start times : 07:30am (Monday – Friday) Salary: £16 - £19.50 p/h Responsibilities: - Safely operate a HGV 2 and able to drive for long distances across England. - Load and unload goods and materials from trucks using pallet jacks and other equipment - Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient delivery of goods - Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure proper functioning - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating vehicles Experience: - Valid C license with a clean driving record - Previous experience in driving - Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles - Ability to lift objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods - Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries - Strong attention to detail to accurately record delivery information - Good communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner If interested, please apply online, call (phone number removed) or text 'Tuxford HGV 2’ to (phone number removed)
