At bdhSterling, we provide specialist cross-border financial planning advice to clients in the UK and Australia. We are now seeking an experienced UK-qualified Paraplanner to support our Financial Advisers, with the flexibility to be based in either our Epsom office in the UK or our Perth office in Australia.

About the Role

As a Paraplanner, you will be instrumental in delivering quality advice by preparing compliant reports, conducting detailed technical analysis, and supporting advisers with complex planning strategies. Your focus will be on UK financial planning advice, working closely with our advisers and administration team to ensure an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft detailed, compliant, and client-focused financial planning reports.
  • Conduct technical analysis in areas such as investments, pensions, protection, and retirement planning.
  • Produce financial modelling and cashflow projections (Voyant, SelectaPension, FE Analytics).
  • Ensure all work meets FCA regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with advisers to clarify advice strategies and deliver accurate solutions.
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of UK pensions, retirement planning, and taxation.
  • Peer checking reports to ensure suitable compliance.

About You

  • CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential).
  • Advanced pension qualifications (G60, AF3, AF7) desirable.
  • Experience with Defined Benefit pension transfers, Transfer Value Comparator (TVC), and APTA reports.
  • Proficiency with Voyant, SelectaPension, and FE Analytics.
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • A collaborative, organised, and proactive approach.
