Senior Captain Opportunity at KohlerMira Ltd, Hull Factory Onsite – Melton, North Ferriby, Hull. Salary up to £36,000, subject to skills & experience, plus a fantastic benefits package including cycle to work, EV leasing, staff discounts and bonus scheme.

Role Summary: A senior production leadership role reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager with responsibility for building a high-performing, continuous improvement culture. You will be supporting the Manufacturing Manager with day-to-day duties, overseeing a group of 15-20 people and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets.

  • Ensure people and resources are utilised in an efficient manner to meet delivery requirements.
  • Ensure associates follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety rules and procedures.
  • Identify improvement opportunities within the organisation.
  • Provide training, understand teams' strengths and opportunities to support their development journey.
  • Organise and lead Route Cause Analysis activity as required.
  • Lead and support with work that targets and improves Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People metrics.
  • Accountable for driving 5S.
  • Identify improvements in performance metrics and drive change, provide support and input to continuous improvement activities identified.
  • Consistently promote high standards of behaviour and performance that meet expected company standards.
  • Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.

  • Experienced in RCA and problem-solving techniques within a team setting.
  • Able to clearly and concisely communicate with team and supporting functions.

  • Computer literate - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/SAP systems.
