About the Role

An opportunity has become available for a Retail Supervisor to join our Golf Retail team here at the Old Course Hotel. Located inside the hotel, our Pro Shop stands as an essential part of the guest experience—offering a curated selection of premium apparel, exclusive merchandise, and luxury golf essentials. More than a retail space, the Pro Shop is a welcoming hub where guests are greeted with warm, attentive service and supported by a team dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience.

In this role, you will lead by example, guiding our retail team to deliver an elevated shopping experience while maintaining the operational excellence expected by our guests. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a luxury setting, understands premium retail presentation, and is motivated by both operational precision and outstanding guest service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and support Retail Assistants during daily shifts, ensuring exceptional service and adherence to luxury standards.
  • Maintain and update operational documents including procedures manuals, training materials, and SOPs.
  • Ensure stockrooms and office areas remain impeccably organised and aligned with company expectations.
  • Lead daily store walks to identify merchandising, housekeeping, and pricing needs.
  • Supervise merchandising standards, general shop presentation, and cleanliness throughout the outlet.
  • Monitor inventory processes including receiving, ticketing, pricing, mark-ups, and mark-downs.
  • Manage the issuance and processing of gift certificates and gift cards.
  • Uphold and enforce dress code standards, fostering a polished and professional team presentation.
  • Cultivate a positive, motivated atmosphere among retail associates, reinforcing a culture of warm hospitality.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, including the Golf Concierge team, to ensure seamless guest experiences.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous retail operational experience.
  • Strong merchandising (apparel) experience.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Basic understanding of accounting/inventory control principles (preferred).

Hours: Full time, 40hrs per week. Permanent.

Salary: £29,176.19 per annum. Subject to increase in March 2026.
