About the Role
Our award‑winning Food and Beverage team are at the hub of our business, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced supervisor to join our Swilcan Loft Restaurant. Swilcan Loft is a 74‑cover restaurant with floor‑to‑ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace overlooking the 17th hole of the Old Course and one of golf’s most famous landmarks, Swilcan Bridge – from which Swilcan Loft takes its name. The successful candidate will support our Food and Beverage Management Team, this role is responsible for co‑ordinating activities during service and providing assistance to the team. This role will help deliver our established service standards to create magical memories for our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining standards and operating procedures
  • Ensuring all service and bar processes are followed, taking every effort to control costs
  • Support and coach direct reports effectively, ensuring the highest standard of customer service is provided to all guests
  • Resolving any guest complaints satisfactorily, ensuring all expectations are met and retaining customer loyalty
  • Forecasting for staffing requirements, ensuring staff volumes are adequate
  • Maintaining high standards of performance via appraisals and personal development plans, in line with our business values and objectives
  • Drive the success of our Food and Beverage Team through identifying continuous improvement areas

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supervising teams within a restaurant environment.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate associates effectively.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and culinary practices related to beverage service.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving with strong organisational skills.
