The Role:
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness across our offices, showrooms, stores, and other public areas here at our Flagship Store in Tillicoultry!
In this role, you’ll help bring the Sterling Home experience to life by ensuring every space is spotless, organised, and inviting for both customers and colleagues. You’ll take pride in maintaining our showrooms and work areas to the highest standard – sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; dusting countertops, ceilings, and furniture; and thoroughly sanitising bathrooms, kitchens, and all communal spaces. Your work will play a key part in creating the warm, welcoming environment Sterling Home is known for.
Duties:
- Carry out general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitising bathrooms, and using floor‑cleaning machines safely.
- Check and maintain cleaning equipment, report faults, and monitor stock levels, reordering materials when necessary.
- Follow work schedules and submit daily cleanliness reports.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, support team members, and maintain positive relationships with staff and customers.
- Uphold company standards, promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and represent the Sterling brand professionally.
- Share best practices and undertake additional duties as required.
Skills:
- Proven ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills, enabling clear understanding of instructions and effective interaction with team members and customers
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently maintained
