We are looking for an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join our growing Accounts Department. The ideal candidate needs to have excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude towards work. Experience and understanding of service charge accounts is a prerequisite. For the right candidate, there is scope for ongoing professional development, training, and qualifications.
Immediate start contract term for 14 months to cover maternity leave with the possibility for long-term retention.
Requisites:- Understanding of Service Charge Accounts and work-based experience within the property management industry for at least 2-4 years
- Excellent organisation skills
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with other computer and accounting software is desirable. Training will be provided on current accounts software
- AAT qualified or part qualified mandatory
- ACCA qualified - not essential
- A team player with the ability to work on own initiative
- Assisting with monthly Bank Reconciliations of individual service charge accounts
- Assisting with preparing Service Charge Year End Accounts for review and approval by external qualified Accountants
- Issuing Service Charge Year End Accounts once signed off by external qualified Accountants
- Assisting with answering enquiries which are service charge accounts based as and when necessary
- Updating financial and non-financial data and information in databases to ensure that details are accurate and up to date
