Overview

A new part-time opportunity for a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber is now available with a leading healthcare organisation based in Preston.

Ongoing growth and development - including an upcoming move to a new, highly modern site - mean this is an exciting time to join the MDT, with plenty of room to support you in developing further clinical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • You\'ll consult with patients regarding their needs and requirements, liaise with fellow healthcare professionals including health coaches and dietitians, provide safe and accurate clinical advice, and prescribe accordingly within your remit particularly when it comes to weight management.
  • You\'ll receive additional training to align with in-house treatment pathways and protocols and enhance your existing competency with Wegovy, Mounjaro and similar medications.

Role details

This is a permanent , part-time for an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist.

Locum contracts can also be considered.

Person specification

  • MPharm degree, OSPAP qualification or equivalent
  • Pharmacist Independent Prescribing qualification
  • Appropriate registration with the GPhC
  • Minimum of 12 months\\\' experience prescribing medications for weight management and obesity
