Role: Senior Support Worker

Setting: Residential Children's Home

Locations: Lewisham, Newham or Enfield

A specialist children's residential care provider is looking for experienced Senior Residential Support Workers to join their team, supporting young people in a safe, stable and nurturing environment.

This is an opportunity to join a values‑led organisation with a strong focus on trauma‑informed care, positive relationships and helping young people build confidence, resilience and independence.

You’ll support the day‑to‑day running of the home, lead shifts, mentor junior staff and provide high‑quality care that helps young people achieve positive outcomes.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker with a background in children’s residential care, strong safeguarding knowledge and a passion for supporting young people to thrive.

Salary is negotiable and based on experience/qualifications.

About you:

• Experience working within children’s residential care, youth work or children’s services.
• Understanding of trauma‑informed practice and the impact of adverse childhood experiences.
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent role model.
• Experience leading shifts, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) desirable, or willingness to work towards.
• Right to work in the UK – please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
