A specialist school is now looking for an ALN Teacher to join their multi-disciplinary team, just outside of Cardiff.

This school offers a specifically designed, bright and fun environment for pupils with additional learning needs to thrive in their education and skill development – whether that’s academic, creative, social-emotional or life skills – through specialist teaching and tailored therapies.

Pupils are aged 3-19 years old and have a broad range of additional needs including PMLD and complex medical histories.

As an ALN Teacher, you’ll join a strong team of teaching, therapeutic, pastoral and other specialist professionals in delivering outstanding educational programmes that inspire pupils and support them to achieve their learning goals across the curriculum.

Small class sizes, high staff ratios and modern facilities (including technological and multi-sensory resources) will help you encourage and empower pupils in their learning both inside and outside of the classroom.

Meanwhile, you’ll have the crucial support you need to develop further in your career, as well as access to a broad range of tools and rewards to support your health, wellbeing and lifestyle.

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5h) position for an ALN Teacher, term-time only.

Person specification:

  • (Essential) Experience teaching pupils with complex medical histories, vision impairments, speech, language and communication needs and/or other types of ALN
  • (Essential) Familiarity with Curriculum for Wales and Routes for Learning
