Role: 2nd Line IT Engineer
Location: Southampton
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000

We're partnered with a growing Managed Service Provider specialising in Cloud Infrastructure Services, supporting businesses with modern, secure and scalable technology solutions. Due to continued growth, they're now looking for a skilled 2nd Line IT Engineer to join their technical team and develop within a highly technical cloud-focused environment.
This is far more than a traditional 2nd Line support role. You'll be working across a varied range of client environments, gaining hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, networking, security and modern IT solutions. You'll be trusted to troubleshoot escalated issues while also developing your technical knowledge across increasingly complex environments.
You'll gain valuable experience across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory and cloud infrastructure, while also having opportunities to support infrastructure improvements, migrations, security initiatives and technical projects. Working within a specialist cloud-focused MSP means you'll be exposed to a broad range of technologies and real-world infrastructure challenges.

Required Skills:

Strong experience working in a 2nd Line IT Support / IT Engineer role

Experience within an MSP environment is highly desirable

Good knowledge of Microsoft 365

Experience with Azure and Cloud Infrastructure

Experience with Entra ID / Azure AD

Strong knowledge of Active Directory

Good understanding of networking including DNS, DHCP, VPNs and firewalls

Experience troubleshooting and resolving escalat
