We're recruiting for a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly technical telecoms and communications environment where network performance, resilience, and uptime are absolutely critical to the wider business. From routing, switching, peering, and BGP through to resilience planning, incident response, and infrastructure improvement projects, you'll be heavily involved in both the day-to-day operation and long-term development of the network estate.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and technical teams, acting as a key escalation point while helping to drive standards, performance, and operational stability across the environment. The role offers the chance to work across carrier-grade networking, high-availability telecoms platforms, on-prem infrastructure, and network architecture, making it a strong move for someone looking to continue progressing into a broader infrastructure leadership or future CTO-level pathway.
Required Skills:- Strong experience in a Senior Network Engineer / Network Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer role
- Proven background working within carrier-grade, ISP, telecoms, or highly available production network environments
- Strong hands-on experience with BGP, routing, peering, failover, redundancy, and traffic engineering
- Strong knowledge of MikroTik RouterOS and/or Juniper Junos
- Experience supporting complex network infrastructure across multi-site environments
- Strong understanding of switching, firewalls, WAN connectivity, IP networking, and routing policy management
- Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting live production outages
- Strong documentation skills across network diagrams, SOPs, technical processes, and infrastructure standards
- Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and wider operations functions
- Telecoms, UC, or service provider experience would be highly desirable
