We’re partnered with a fast-growing technology and communications business in Southampton that’s continuing to expand its technical team. They’re now looking for an ambitious 1st Line Technical Support Engineer who wants to build their technical skills and progress quickly within IT.
This is far more than a basic helpdesk role. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to Networking, Cloud, Connectivity and VoIP technologies, troubleshooting real technical issues while working alongside experienced engineers.
The biggest attraction is the progression opportunity. The business is looking for people who want to develop beyond 1st Line, with the opportunity to take on increasingly complex technical work and progress into 2nd Line, Networking, Infrastructure and more senior technical positions.

Required Skills:
- Experience within 1st Line IT Support / Helpdesk / Service Desk
- Basic understanding of Networking, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Genuine interest in Networking, Cloud and modern technology
- Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and progress
- VoIP / Telecoms experience is desirable but not essential
