They offer the full spectrum of planning application services and bring extensive experience in both major and minor development matters. With continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Town Planner to join their expanding London team.
The Opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven planning professional to take on a varied and impactful role. You will work independently across a wide range of projects while building strong client relationships and contributing to the ongoing development of the consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear, realistic and commercially focused planning advice.
- Independently manage a full and varied planning workload.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
- Prepare and manage planning applications, site appraisals, and planning policy research.
- Represent clients at Planning Committee meetings, hearings and appeals.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external project teams.
- Mentor and support junior members of the team.
- Support business development by proactively securing new work and representing the company at relevant events and networking opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Solid and varied planning experience, including essential private sector exposure.
- Chartered Town Planner / full RTPI membership (or actively working towards it).
- Strong technical understanding of the planning system and current planning policy.
- Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of development projects.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in written and analytical work.
- Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills.
- Collaborative, proactive and supportive approach to team working.
