ABOUT US

At STERIS AST we are the trusted experts in technology‑neutral sterilization services including radiation and gas modalities.

We offer electron beam, gamma, X‑ray, ethylene oxide and vaporized hydrogen peroxide technologies to ensure that products—whether single‑use medical devices, consumables, cosmetics, or industrial goods—are safe for use or consumption.

  • WORKING PATTERN
  • 4 days ON – 4 days OFF
  • 2 days by 2 nights (8 am – 8 pm and 8 pm – 8 am)
  • 12‑hour shift, 48 hours per week including breaks
  • Overtime available

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

  • Quality
  • Adhere to quarantine process in line with defined procedures.
  • Label customer products and attach dosimetry inline with current SOPs.
  • Ensure all forms are completed to the required standards.
  • Alert the Team Leader, senior Warehouse operator, or Production Supervisor to any process issues or discrepancies.
  • Follow procedures to ensure compliance with product segregation standards.
  • Strict adherence to Site GMP Quality Standards.
  • Assist in non‑conformance and root‑cause analysis investigations and reporting.
  • Record and report all damage using site procedures.
  • Read dosimetry.
  • Operational
  • Complete process run.
  • Record and monitor consumable stocks.
  • Initiate contact with support services (Maintenance, IT, QA, Management) when plant faults occur.
  • Adhere to processing schedule and paperwork requirements.
  • Load and unload totes (Auto Plant).
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of Site 5S Standards.
  • Assist with regular planned 5S audits and follow‑up actions.
  • Assist in updating Plant SQDC boards and attend daily PIT meetings.
  • Process all customer products in line with processing parameters and any special instructions.
  • Assist in handover, ensuring all relevant records and standards are adhered to.
  • Complete standard work daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Ensure cleaning of areas to specified standards at shift end and complete cleaning register daily.
  • Identify, verify and label customer products and place correct dosimeters/BIs as defined in SOPs.
  • Perform secondary duties as per site internal procedures.
  • Count and record consumable stock daily, highlight to site management when reorder point levels are reached.
  • Delivery
  • Load and unload customer product from trailers using a forklift truck.
  • Take control of the yard and follow local yard rules.
  • Create shipping documents on time.
  • Safety
  • Share responsibility for the security of the premises and customer goods.
  • Identify and report safety concerns using site procedure and escalating to the appropriate supervisor or safety representative.
  • Wear appropriate PPE throughout the shift.
  • Report all SOV COSHH products not in compliance with current Site Regulation.
  • Conduct and report regular safety checks (Data Pro & STOP Observations).
  • Assist with site security, including visitors on site and activation/deactivation of alarms.
  • Record and report incidents to Site Management inline with ERP.
  • People
  • Perform tasks with due recognition of safety and environmental risks, maintain equipment, and wear protective clothing.
  • Undertake required training as directed.
  • Work with a 'One Team One Goal' mentality at all levels.
  • Support colleagues in their duties by sharing best practice.
  • Act with respect and integrity toward line manager, colleagues, and customers.
  • Deputise for the Team Leader or senior warehouse operator when appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, essential for effective customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrable experience in a customer service role.
