We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join us at a skilled level in a division that drives the business forwards through providing a best in class engineering service to our customers.
What's Involved
- The Service Engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS/Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in their service area in the country.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on STERIS/Cantel product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment. This includes: disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.).
- Perform administrative duties as assigned including computer synchronization daily, complete service reports, maintaining tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager.
- Use the Corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle daily activity.
- Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions and the sales organization.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanour when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees.
- Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS/Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales.

Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years industry related experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Experience
- Good troubleshooting skills as well as proven organization attitude.
- Computer literacy with a good standard of education with good oral and written communication.
- Sufficient technical knowledge of the English language.
- Completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical training scheme.
