WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Production Operative within our grit blasting department, you will play a key role in the production process, working with metal tanks and bonding transducers to support the delivery of high-quality products. This is a hands-on, physically active role that includes manual handling and lifting tasks. Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, this position offers the opportunity to take real ownership of your area, contributing to a collaborative team culture where ideas, innovation, and continuous improvement are actively encouraged and valued.

  • Grit blasting a variety of different tanks and accessory products under controlled conditions
  • Clean and preparation of tanks, application of adhesive materials for transducers
  • Assembly of fixtures and jigs prior to bonding
  • Inspection of finished goods before issue to assembly line
  • Maintenance of machines and general housekeeping of blasting and bonding areas

Required Experience

  • Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions to a high level
  • Understanding of time management, logistics and process control
  • Ability to maintain records
  • Previous grit blasting / powder coating / similar finishing work experience
