What you will do: The service engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on STERIS/Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in their service area in the country. Tasks include disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting, calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.).
- Perform administrative duties as assigned including computer synchronization daily, complete service reports, and maintain tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager.
- Use corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle daily activity.
- Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions and the sales organization.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees.
- Follow customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS/Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales.
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years industry related experience and a general knowledge of operating washing and sterilize processing units. Valid driverβs license required.
Preferred Experience: Good troubleshooting skills as well as a proven organizational attitude. Computer literacy with a good standard of education and good oral and written communication. Sufficient technical knowledge of the English language. Completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical training scheme.
