About Us
At Steris IP we are trusted experts in surgical instrument sterilisation, offering on‑site and off‑site re‑processing alongside reliable instrument maintenance solutions. Our diverse, talented teams use cutting‑edge technology to ensure the highest quality of infection prevention is delivered to our customers.
Working Hours
14:00 – 22:00, 5 days out of 7 (includes some weekends), on‑call service.
What's Involved
- Ensuring vehicles are driven in line with all current applicable legislation, company policies and procedures.
- Daily health and safety vehicle inspections.
- Report all traffic accidents involving any company vehicle to the company insurer immediately and notify the line manager.
- Responsibility for the safe carriage of goods to comply with the basic rules of the Transport Act 1968.
- Maintain and organise planned preventive maintenance, i.e. servicing of all company vehicles and organise alternative vehicle cover when necessary.
- Maintain effective vehicle mileage logs and submit the mileage records to the administration staff on a weekly basis.
- Ensure all delivery schedules are met in accordance with the daily requirements of the service.

Required Experience
- Educated to good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 points).
- 2 years driving experience on UK roads.
- Good customer service skills.
- Because you must hold a full and up‑to‑date licence, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a basic safety assessment.
